APG was originally established in 1897 by William Fredrick Aldridge. The business developed steadily over several generations but has grown significantly in the last ten years to become a high quality award-winning printing business serving the corporate, public, publishing and advertising sectors.
In early 2011 the business transferred to Blue Printing Group Limited making a £21 million group.
Blue Group is the most diverse printing company in the UK.
The Group offers a complete in-house service, including repro, litho, web offset and digital print, finishing and iWay on-line ordering. The Group has a strong environmental policy and was one of the first UK printers to gain ISO 14001 environmental accreditation. Blue Group has achieved FSC and PEFC status and is able to offer carbon neutral print production.
The Group has always invested in the latest technology, and thrives on innovation. MetalFX and spectral colour management are available and all sites also work to ISO 12647 (Litho Colour Management) standards.
The Group has tight quality controls across its business – ISO 9001 is in place and the Group strives for continual improvement. The range of technology, excellent relationships with suppliers and internal efficiencies mean that we are able to give competitive prices which offer value for money.
In 2010 APG formed a Strategic partnership with Bd3 Limited, a digital business offering fast turnaround, short-run colour and black & white digital printing (from 1-off to 100's or 1000's depending on the item).
The Digital presses provide a high quality finish - and yes - even solids and tints can successfully be reproduced! Personalisation of text, data-driven graphs and variable images are possible through our choice of variable software including XMPie.
Our online ordering service provides a fantastic way for multi-offices or users to have access to a central library of artwork; or to provide an easy tool for modifying template designs such as business cards or invitations.
Just some of the many jobs we typically undertake on a daily basis include: Brochures, flyers, postcards, posters, roll-fold leaflets, invitations, mailers. Training, exhibition & operators manuals; engineers reference guides. Company Annual Report & Accounts; presentation & pitch documents. Conference & Exhibition collateral, badges, delegate & press packs, press releases, folders, graphic panels. Business cards, compliment slips, C5 and C4 envelopes, DVD/CD labels. Posters and banners.
